I fell for the promise of a life with a purpose, but I know that's impossible now...Ask
This will probably come off as super insensitive, but it’s just an opinion of mine on the meaning of words and in no way intended to offend anyone and I apologize if it does. So I recently read about people campaigning to make people change the way they use retarded. The way I see it they want to stop people from using it as a derogatory term and simultaneously go back to using it to refer to mentally handicapped individuals. I for one think they should let it go. Because I personally can never refer to anyone who is actually mentally handicapped as retarded because of the negative connotations it has absorbed over the course of my life. I personally use it, but it is equivalent to dumb in my vocabulary with just a tad more comedy attached to it. Of course I don’t condone the use of it in terms of bullying, but the only control I have on the bullying epidemic is to not be a bully.
i can’t play bright eyes loud enough. it is as loud as it gets but i would like for conor oberst’s voice to reverberate in my head 24/7. how do i do this. i want to constantly have his lyrics ricocheting around in my brain.
This is actually my life.
